What the AI Visibility Potential score means

The 100-point score is intentionally based on signals this application can inspect from the public webpage and its public discovery files. It does not reverse-engineer proprietary ranking systems.

Scored dimensions

Discoverability · 25: response, HTTPS, indexability, canonicalization, crawler access, sitemap and substantive text.

Entity Strength · 20: explicit brand identity, entity schema, sameAs, authorship and supporting identity pages.

Citation Strength · 20: sources, source diversity, methodology/original evidence, quantified evidence and attribution cues.

Scored dimensions, continued

Answer Extractability · 20: H1/H2 structure, question-oriented sections, early topic coverage, FAQ/Q&A, readable passages and structured lists/tables.

Trust & Freshness · 15: author/responsibility, dates, structured data, editorial context, useful metadata and identity/supporting links.

What does the AI Visibility Checker measure?

Does this checker see whether ChatGPT or Google AI actually cites my site?

Not from a page scan alone. Actual mentions and citations depend on platform, query, locale, time and source selection. The report therefore includes a prompt-test matrix so you can separately test observed visibility across AI platforms.

How is this different from the AI Search Readiness Checker?

The Readiness Checker emphasizes technical crawlability and page foundations. The AI Visibility Checker adds entity strength, citation/source signals, answer extractability, trust/freshness and a platform prompt-testing workflow.

Is llms.txt part of the score?

No. The tool reports whether a root llms.txt is present, but it does not award ranking points for it. Treat llms.txt as an optional publishing convention rather than a guaranteed visibility signal.

Does a high score guarantee AI citations?

No. A high score means the public page has many favorable observable signals. Search and AI systems use additional proprietary systems and may select different sources for different prompts.
